July 30th lesson

Dear students, Today you will finish your final presentations. After that, you may present if you were absent for one of the class presentations. This will be on a first come basis, so please write your name on the chalk board if you want to present and either pass or get a better grade. Kind regards, Chris Elvin

July 16th lesson

Dear students, Today you will prepare for your final five-minute solo presentation which will be held on either July 23rd or July 30th (everyone should be ready on the 23rd as the order will be randomized). The topic is any of the topics which were posted to the blog on May 7th. Remember to introduce your topic, research well, think critically, say something new, relevant, and interesting, and communicate with your eyes as well as your voice. This presentation is worth 20 points. Also, don't copy! If the English you speak is too difficult for you to understand, your audience may not understand either! Copying rules. Don't copy sentences. Don't copy sentences, then change the words. Copy paste strings of five words or more may be construed as cheating. Kind regards, Chris Elvin

Dear students, Today you will prepare for your third presentaton which will be on June 25th. Period 1 students will talk about jobs. Period 2 students will talk about sport. If you speak first in your team, please remember your introduction. (Why are you talking about such a topic?) Also remember to include your critical thinking in your speech. June 11th lesson

Dear students, Today you will deliver your second presentation. Period 1 students will talk about festivals and period 2 students will talk about Tokyo. You should research well and think critically. Your speech should be a minimum of three minutes per person. Remember to have clear error-free slides, and to have much eye contact. Kind regards, Chris Elvin
