July 22nd and 29th lessons

Dear students, Today is your final presentation, which is worth 20 points. The topic is countries of the world. You should choose a country different from everyone else in the class. Research well, say something new and interesting, express your opinion, and talk to the audience with your eyes as well as your voice. Your solo presentation should last for a minimum of five minutes. The order of  the presentations will be randomized, so everyone should be ready on the 22nd. Kind regards, Chris Elvin

July 15th lesson

Dear students, Today you will deliver a presentation about everyday things in pairs. Each person should speak for a minimum of three minutes. You should research well and say something new and interesting to your audience. Your slides are important, so please make sure to show two or three per minute. You may also include the results of a class survey if you wish. Feedback Kind regards, Chris Elvin

July 8th lesson

Dear students, Today there will be three activities. First, if you have not done so already, please present a student-led activity. (Soon there will be no time left, so I hope you find the time to do this). Second, you will finish your social isssue persuasion presentations. Finally, you will prepare your fourth presentation in random groups. Your topic for your next presentation is everyday things. The purpose of this presentation is to focus on being interesting - even if what you are talking about is normal in our lives. In order to be interesting, you should research well and say something new to your audience. There is also one minor point which applies only to some of you. Some presentations appear to be essays. They have had either no slides, or just dull, typed slides. You will be clearer and more interesing if you convert your concept map or outline into an organized and colorful presesentation. Kind regards, Chris Elvin
